School Council
St. Matthew's school is a democratic one! Every year each class votes in a school councillor to act as a spokesperson. Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Every half term each class has a class council to discuss improvements to the school. These ideas and issues are then taken to the school council meeting by the class councillor. We know that all our ideas are listened to even if they aren't all possible!
School Counsellors
St. Matthew’s School Council decided to support LuvPreston in the Sumemr Term 2019 by asking the children to donate food and toiletries. We managed to collect lots and lots of things for the LuvPreston foodbank and filled Mr Mackley’s (our headteacher) car! Rayyan and Eshaal (Y6 School Councillors) went to deliver our donations and the people at LuvPreston really appreciated it.
