Welcome to Year 2
A warm welcome from our teachers in Year Two: Mrs Russell in 2R and Mrs Gretton in 2G. We feel incredibly privileged that you have chosen St Matthew's Academy to help develop your child to grow into a confident, independent learner.
We are fortunate to be supported by a team of hard-working Learning Support Assistance who are dedicated to the progress and development of all children.
As a team, we work exceptionally hard to make sure your child’s school life is very special and one to remember! We learn through lots of ways including drama, play, research and experiences. We want the children to love what they learn and realise how it relates to their own lives.
We welcome regular communication with our parents. All communication is sent through the Parent App, Class Dojo or uploaded onto this web page.
PE changes every half term, so please keep your eye out on the Class Dojo page for updates on day changes. Please make sure PE kits are worn on these days and any jewellery is taken out.
