What happens when we mix bicarbonate of soda with vinegar? The children explored adding different amounts of vinegar to bicarbonate of soda - predicted and observed changes
Year 5 carried out an eco-survey throughout school. The children were looking for taps running, lights turned on with no people around, computers still running when not needed etc. They even looked in the bins to check the recycling was in the correct places! The survey (unfortunately) found a lot of issues and from this Year 5 discussed the effects these could be having on the planet. We spoke about what changes could be done easily and then created signs to put around school to encourage others to make little changes for a big difference.
