Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to Year Five with Mrs Bryden and Miss Brennand. Year Five are looking forward to a great year of learning, laughing, and loving every minute of education. We will work hard but have fun and be creative along the way.

Year Five have PE twice a week. The days of their PE sessions will be shared on dojo. Please ensure your child comes to school in their full PE on these days – see the website for guidance. 


We have a huge focus on Reading throughout school. Please read with your child EVERY day or encourage them to read to themselves, then record it in their reading record. Spellings are set on a Monday and will be checked on a Friday. Please support your child by practising them at home. Each half term, there is a new whole class target for maths, please check class dojo and the website for this half term’s target. Your child will have brought home a maths target booklet full of ideas, vocabulary, and websites for you to support your child at home.
