In this week's worship, we are delving back into the Old Testament and the story of Jacob and Esau. They were twin brothers but were very, very different and their story involved some pretty big lies with some devastating consequences...

We thought that lies always come back to you, so you will always get found out. A lie can spread and then that can get others into trouble. It is always better to tell the truth even if you might get into trouble. Even a little lie can lead to big trouble. Truth is always the better choice.

You are so right 4C, Jacob caused so many problems with his lies.
It's not always easy to tell the truth, sometimes we get tempted to tell a 'little lie' in the hope that it will help us deal with something. It never works!

If you don't tell the truth, you can feel awful in your tummy. Something bad may happen to you and you may lose the trust of people around you. God sees and hears everything you do, so you don't get away with anything.
If you tell lies to gain something, it might feel good at the time, but later on you will feel guilty.

We agree with what 4C said but would like to add that lies lead to more lies and whatever happens in the dark always comes to light - much like the difficulties Peter Parker faces when trying to hide his identity of Spiderman.
