Hello everyone, I really hope that you are all well and managing in these interesting times!  There does appear to be progress on the horizon, we don't know in what form it will take but it does look there will be moves to start relaxing restrictions very soon which is encouraging!

8th May is 75 years since Victory in Europe was declared and millions of people were able to celebrate their freedom from years of tyranny, oppression and warfare. A terrible price had been paid for this freedom and it is right that we never forget the sacrifices that were made by so many people in order for us to live in freedom.  At the minute that freedom is challenged because of the global pandemic and we are unable to live our lives as freely as we did just a few short weeks ago.  Thankfully there are amazing people working on the front line of this 'battle' to keep us safe and to help life get back to some sort of normal very soon.

I don't know about you but I have been amazed at the many acts of kindness I have seen during this time and the ways that people have come together to help each other out - I really hope that all this positive activity carries on when the restrictions are all over and we develop a 'new normal' not go back to how we were.

I have been asked by many people when we will be back and what learning will look like. There has been a lot of rumour, much of it unhelpful, and so I will wait for the official announcements over the weekend to find out what is proposed. The Department for Education (DfE) have released a blog post today to clarify the situation (which can be read here https://dfemedia.blog.gov.uk/2020/05/07/school-reopening-covid19/) Please bear with us when the announcements are made as there will be much work for us to do to ensure that when we do start allowing more children into school, we can do so safely.

As always, stay safe and please do keep in touch using the contact page of the website, especially if there is anything you think we can help with.
